Teaching
and learning
Delivery is through a traditional range of teaching
methods, mainly lectures and laboratory work.
Class sizes are generally small, with less than
15 students. This facilitates good tutorial
support, both in the classroom and in timetabled
tutorial sessions. We offer one-to-one tutorial
support outside normal class hours according
to individual student need. |

Teacher-training
New members of staff in the Faculty of Aeronautical
Engineering are following a teacher-training
programme. All staff are observed during teaching
by senior staff members. Some staff have attended
training courses and work visits to enhance
their teaching but, overall, because of staffing
difficulties, there is little indication of
sustained teaching development.
